Renato Lainho is a 23 years old photographer from Porto ( Portugal ) who has been shooting for nine years, since « my Dad handed me a polaroid and I shot a simple, but life changing silhuete. »
I like doing all kinds of photography, but my main subject, is Skateboarding. I’d always get a brain buzz everytime I saw a good skateboarding photo, so when 5 years ago, I got injured and couldn’t skate for awhile, I naturally started documenting my friends skating. Since then, I have evolved a lot in this field, and my photos have been published in Surge Skateboard Magazine, ONSK8, Thrasher, Vista Skateboard Art, Vice and more.
Most of the times my inspiration strikes me directly, wheter is by founding a new spot, a great natural light, or someone getting a mind blowing trick. I’m never focused on what everybody else does, so I can keep original on my artistic path. My photos are skate-culture-feeling bombs, triggered by the subjective minds who embrace them.
