Let me introduce, Artisans of slide.

British surf culture is often a blend of Californian and Australian trends diluted by the Atlantic, but there is something distinct about our particular brand of surfing, something that sets us apart. The nature of that difference is hard to define, it could be the cold that forces us into optimism and literally stokes our bodies to warmth, or our fickle swells, shifting sands and uneven granite reefs, or perhaps it is the prevailing westerlies that demand innovation.

Artisans of Slide grew out of this wild beauty and its fleeting moments of perfection. It has shaped a group of creatively minded individuals for whom surfing inspires their artistic pursuits, whether it be music, photography, design or poetry.

Brought together by the exploits of shaper/surfer Rob Wright and his Slide 65 surfboard company, they have been quietly building momentum in the far west of Cornwall and have decided to pull together their separate projects, this website will document their exploits both in and out of the water.
